You may immediately close a VT session and exit Distinct IntelliTerm by selecting Close from the Control-menu box in the upper left hand corner of the window.

To close a TN3270 or TN5250 session, press Ctrl-B or select Close Session from the File menu to do this. You will be prompted to confirm the end of the terminal session. In both cases, if you only have one terminal session active, Distinct IntelliTerm will be closed.

To exit Distinct IntelliTerm from a 3270 or 5250 session, and close all terminal windows, press Ctrl-Q.

Upon disconnect, you have the option of closing the session window, keeping the session window open, restarting the session, or showing the Open New Session dialog box. Unless you specify otherwise, Distinct IntelliTerm automatically closes a window when the connection to the host system is broken or terminated by the host system.

If you try to exit Windows before closing all terminal sessions, Distinct IntelliTerm will warn you and require that you close all terminal sessions first. This prevents any problems with your system. However, you can override this option in the ITERM.INI configuration file. See the section “Special Profile Options” in Chapter 2 for more information.
